Unlike a few years ago, when touch screen cell phones were gradually taking on more functionalities of other devices.  Nokia’s flagship N-Series device and replacement for the popular N95, the Nokia N96 adds more features than ever before in an attractive package that looks good too.  Although this handset is crammed full of technology on the inside, let us first look at the outside of the Nokia N96 to get a feel for the device.  Like all telephones of the N series, the Nokia N96 uses the Symbian operating system.  The memory has been boosted in order to use the Nokia N96 as a video player, which is also the reason for the integrated stand that we announced earlier.  As we mentioned before, the Nokia N96 has a DVB-H receiver, and it also comes with a FM radio with RDS.  The Nokia N96 has built in wireless, bluetooth, and GPS and a 2.  In offline mode, the Nokia N96 should be good for 14 hours of music playback, 5 hours of video or 4 hours of TV.  Many touch screen cell phones are equal when it comes to their functionality, and there are only minor differences between current models and their successors.  The variety, the features, the technology which makes our life easier, the entertainment, the music, the camera and all such features and specifications of Nokia touch screen cell phones are simply unmatchable.

touch screen cell phone

Samsung has finally launched the newest mobile touch screen cell phone, The Samsung Impression, into the markets recently. The Samsung Impression for AT&T is a great option for heavy messaging, featuring both a touch screen and slide out QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Impression includes a 3 megapixel camera with video capture ability, plus a flash and Geo-tagging feature not found in many touch screen devices. Samsung Impression produces one of the finest displays ever and will be able to give one of the brightest and finest colored display.

The Impression’s touch screen is undoubtedly the highlight. The nation’s first commercially available AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) screen results in one of the brightest and clearest displays in the United States and is paired with a keyboard underneath an amazingly slim, metallic blue quick messaging phone that’s all touch screen on the outside, all buttons on the inside. This touch screen cell phone display is bright with excellent contrast and color even at the dimmest setting. Pressing the latter will open onscreen shortcuts for the phone dialer, the messaging menu, the Web browser, the music player, and the games menu. Being a capacitive touch screen cell phone, you shouldn’t have to press very hard for the hardware to register your finger. If you don’t want to use the physical keyboard, the Impression also offers a virtual onscreen keyboard and a handwriting recognition tool. Scrolling around Web pages was pretty smooth, thanks to the responsive touch screen.

The interesting things about this phone that make it great are the full keyboard, a rather large touchscreen, a digital camera and all the other features you’d expect from a smart phone. The interface for the phone dialer features large numbers and a shortcut for the contacts menu.

If you are looking for a very responsive phone with all the touch screen options than the Samsung Impression is a good choice. Powered by the 3G network by AT&T the phone can easily display all it’s abilitys through smooth scrolling menus.
